A  The whole ePoD concept is the rapid transfer of information specifically related to proof of delivery (PoD) information. Order information may be included in the future.  

Q  How does the information arrive on the system?

A  Any organisation that receives goods within any supply chain is a potential sender of data to ePoD. Each organisation will regularly upload non-financial receipt information to the system.

Q  Do I need any specialist software to access the information?

A  No. All that is required is Internet access, a standard Internet browser and an ePoD account.

Q  What internal development work is required to retrieve data from the system?

A  None. 

Q  Are there any geographical restrictions to using the system?

A  No. As long as the user has access to the Internet, the system can be used throughout the world. 

Q  What level of security is used on the ePoD system?

A  All feasible precautions are taken to ensure data integrity and discretion at all times.

Q  Does the ePoD system confirm to all normal, internationally recognised formats and standards?

A  Yes. As new standards are constantly being ratified, ePoD will endeavour to ensure these are appropriately acknowledged.

Q  Are there any restrictions to the amount of data held on the system?

A  Yes, data will only be available online for a limited period before being archived.

Q  Can I access archived PoD information?

A  Yes, but not directly online. There is a chargeable e-mail based request service for archived information.

Q  How much does it cost to subscribe to ePoD?

A  Full details of costs are detailed on the subscription form, which was included with your username and password. An electronic version can be viewed once you have logged in.

Q  How do I set-up an account with ePoD?

A  Simply complete and return the subscription form included with your username and password. Alternatively, log on to the system, click the "Click here to Subscribe" link and follow the instructions for online registration. You can also download a hard copy of this form from this page to return by fax if you prefer.

Q  What payment systems are used by subscribers?

A  In order to reduce administration subscribers simply pay one annual invoice.
